I've posted previously on the recent UK government's commitment of £1.1 billion in 2015-16 (part of £5.8 billion over five years) for capital investment in science. The obvious question is what we should do with the cash.
Have any ideas? Here's the official consultation.
Our ambition is to make the UK the best place in the world to do science and research. This is why the government is making a long-term commitment to invest in science and research infrastructure: increasing capital investment in real terms to £1.1 billion in 2015-16 and growing it in line with inflation each year to 2020-21. We want your views on what this money should be invested in, from refurbing a university laboratory, to investing in a new major international project.
